The social studies department has adopted a new grade scale and set of terminology regarding standards-based grading for 2017-18. We hope this new terminology clarifies how to understand and read our grade scale. 

  

• Mastery - Students can apply and teach content they have learned in class.

• Proficient - Students know all content.

• Developing - Students know of some content.

• Learning - Students struggle processing content, but with support, can learn all content. 

• Insufficient data - There is insufficient evidence of completed work or high amounts of missing work. There is not enough information to provide the student with a score. These scores will be inputted into skyward as a "0".
